The bottom line

What is thy only comfort in life and death?

That I with body and soul, both in life and death, am not my own, but belong unto my faithful Savior Jesus Christ; who, with his precious blood, has fully satisfied for all my sins, and delivered me from all the power of the devil; and so preserves me that without the will of my heavenly Father, not a hair can fall from my head; yea, that all things must be subservient to my salvation, and therefore, by his Holy Spirit, He also assures me of eternal life, and makes me sincerely willing and ready, henceforth, to live unto him.

What does the "resurrection" of Christ profit us?

First, by his resurrection he has overcome death, that he might make us partakers of that righteousness which he had purchased for us by his death; secondly, we are also by his power raised up to a new life; and lastly, the resurrection of Christ is a sure pledge of our blessed resurrection.

Dear Pastor,
Your words, from HIS WORD, always fills me with such passion and the desire to stand for TRUTH! O this peace, forgiveness and comfort, I gladly daily drink, quenching my thirsting, sinning but saved soul!
Reading yesterday's "Reepicheep" words, repeated from the great Heidelgberg... and then, Easter Services, the joy of reading them again. Praise unto His Mighty Name, for this blessed assurance, from the old old story of redemption. Nothing more needs said... but a continued reminder of His precious shed blood, the satisfaction for all my sins, and finally the glory of HIS Resurrection hope, giving life to the dead. May I live unto Him and die to self daily! "Lord give me an unquenchable thirst to tell of such joy and hope to everyone You put in my path!"
