Credit where it is due

The Anaheim Ducks won the most glorious of all trophies in professional sports tonight- the Stanley Cup. Once again my Buffalo Sabres underachieved, losing in the Conference Finals. I have to admit, there's no way my Sabres could have beaten these Ducks, had they advanced past Ottawa. Too big, too strong, too good.

The Ducks moved efficiently through the most grueling playoff tournament in the world. You must win 16 games in 8 weeks. To do so, you could potentially play 28 games. There simply is no challenge in team sports like it.

Hockey players are modern day gladiators. My hat's off to the Ducks, the new Stanley Cup Champions.

I know nothing at all about this toothless sport? As I see it, just a bunch of “manly” tough guys, pushen’, shoven’ and hitten’ each other over the heads with a stick. Like Pastor Tony has accused me, I guess I am more comfortable with a “Whimpy fishen’ pole”?

I don't know, man. 8 weeks is a long time and my memory isn't the greatest but don't the NBA finals last something like a year and a half?
