The Bankruptcy of liberal theology

I discovered this dramatic piece over on the Brittonator's blog (http://knightscross-kh.blogspot.com/).

It powerfully illustrates how useless liberal theology is when real answers are needed most.

i'd be curious to see how this storyline ended & how the writers portrayed the dying man's need for real answers & forgiveness, or, rather, if they pushed the PC liberal non-answers to his questions and that truth is what you want it to be.

I'm sure they didn't follow the episode with a message stressing the need for a Savior & salvation through Jesus Christ...

Pastor T,
Although I haven't seen the entire episode, I was surprised that something like this would be on TV.

Wow! Talk about someone ready to hear the one true gospel of God’s grace! Only the Word of God can bring relief and comfort to a troubled soul like that:

Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life. -- Jn. 5:24

In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. -- 1 Jn. 4:9-10

I was blown-away by this desperately hurting, dying man, search for forgiveness and peace! He said it all about the “New-Age” garbage that offers nothing but empty HOPE. So many need to know, so many want to know, so many desperate to hear, so many searching to believe in truth. I would to the Lord, that He will have mercy upon me as I stand before His Glory, having to confess, “Lord, You gave me opportunities ‘to give the reason for the hope that is within me’ yet I choose to ignore Your demanding command!” We must seize ever opportunity! “For WHOEVER will call upon the Name of the Lord will be saved! How then shall they call upon Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach unless they are sent. Just as it is written, ‘How beautiful are the feet of those who bring glad tinting of good things!’” Roman 10:13-15
