All this time when I heard the radio spots on my way into work I thought it was a Catholic mission. Since I work for Caesar, or the Federal Government by the way my division chief’s name is also Cesar. I know I should render unto Caesar what it his, while at the same time keeping in mind that I should also render unto God what is also His. At times I have to remind myself, that God has provided me the opportunity to work, so that I may provide for my family the basic essentials. Even if at times when I am discouraged at work, I have found myself repeating "Arbeit macht frei" which is a German phrase meaning "work brings freedom" or "work shall set you free/will free you" or "work liberates" and, literally in English, "work makes (one) free". The slogan is known in the English-speaking world for being placed at the entrances to a number of Nazi concentration camps.God has providentially blessed me in so many ways in my everyday life. Especially in the knowledge of His Grace which has brought me Salvation, a gift I did not earn, nor a debt that I could ever repay. May all that I do Glorify Him, and may I enjoy Him forever!Salvation is by Grace alone, through Faith alone, in Christ alone, as revealed in the Scripture alone to the Glory of God alone! Sola Gratia, Sola Fide, Solus Christus, Sola Scriptura, Soli Deo Gloria!
Thanks Tony! I needed a dose of this Powerful Packer medicine. In all the years of trading lumber, I have never seen things so bad and signs of relief seem out of reach. Posting this was very timely for me, and I am sure for many others. We live in times when we need to praise God for so many things. Moreover, we must remember, troubled and uncertain times don’t disturb our sovereign Lord.
