Obama's Church keeps getting better!

Here's a much appreciated guest preacher at Barack Obama's home church.

My favorite quote- "Jeremiah Wright...one of the greatest biblical scholars this nation has..."

OK to stone this Priest or crucify him upside down is a bit harsh, I was having a Pharisee, Saul of Tarsus moment. I know that I should marvel that the Grace God has given us so that one day we shall see the kingdom. However, to have a so called Catholic Priest act like fool in front of a congregation that embraces Marxist Black Liberation Theology. That lies to its congregation about government conspiracies that do not exist, but says nothing about the millions of “black” children who are aborted in this country, thank you very much Margaret Sanger with your Darwinian view toward minorities that created such an evil organization as Planned Parenthood, speaks volumes of the reprobate.

Pastor Tony, here are some of my brothers thoughts about he and his wife deciding to join the Catholic Church and this so-called, heretic, hiding behind his “cloth!”

"Flaky Father Fleger's Sermon For Racial Hatred
Posted : May 30, 2008 7:26 AM
So, a few years ago my wife and I decided to explore a Catholic studies program to become Catholics. We were confirmed in Easter of 2002 and felt good about out first Communion – then a political agenda entered from stage left. First, it was the issue of illegal aliens and their “rights” to remain in the USA in spite of their illegal status. Then the Super Highway connecting/combining the USA, Mexico and Canada.
Then the old doctrine of Situation Ethics (c.1960s) came up during a subsequent study session which to me seemed counter to the Sermon on the Mount and the Ten Commandments, i.e., if you need food, go steal some and you could justify the theft of food because you were hungry, notwithstanding the fact that there are many private and public agencies that are prepared to fulfill those needs. The Ten Commandments is an absolute commandment, i.e., “Thou shalt not steal!”
Now we have the flaky Father Michael Pfleger preaching hatred and racism (white entitlement? – give me a break, I was a Human Resources Director for 30 years and all I ever heard was black entitlement and bogus claims of racial discrimination; I even had EEOC investigators referring to our white employees as “Anglos” [could have skipped that and used the term “Gringos”]) Father Pfleger preaching hatred and making demeaning comments from Obama’s church and Obama saying that Father Pfleger was one of his spiritual guides and mentors early on. I thought the bug-witted “Reverend” Wright had fulfilled that role for Obama? I can only categorize Reverend Wright’s “church” as an African Nationalist organization hell-bent on racial hatred. I can find no love in his sermons for anyone other than African-Americans. People like Father Phleger/Fleger make it difficult for a new Catholic like my family, to feel good about having made a decision to join the ranks of Roman Catholicism but then at least he has had his 15 minutes of fame, or rather infamy."

Come, come, now Pastor. We all know he meant to say that Jeremiah Wrong was “one of the greatest unbiblical clowns this nation has.” He just misspoke! This guy is great! Kinda like the “Eminem” of the Diocese! You should seriously consider taking lessons on how to sound “black” from him -- and adopt that nice little white collar -- that would REALLY be you! Of course, you’d have to grow your “soul” patch back first and wear a little more “bling!”

Hilarious Roger!

I was thinking of Vanilla Ice more than Eminem!

Yes, Tony I did notice you did not post my prior comments thank you for your discernment and wisdom. For it was a day that my agency has banned all employees from using the internet, so perhaps my comments were directed at the powers that be and not this buffoon of a priest.

However, I think for those of us who may wish to bring salt and light to the Obama- maniacs who have granted him Messiah status here is a link to the 527c Vets for Freedom and their ads that shall hit the airways should the presumptive nominee make it to the general election.

In addition, since we are looking at fools in the ministry here is a link to Gene Robinson interview with Matt Lauer listen closely how the Bishop dismisses those 100 Anglican churches that have left the episcopate and how he feels he is embracing what a Loving God embraces and what Jesus taught.

My question is, why is he preaching this from the pulpit? Is this normal for that church? They do not preach from the bible? I could see if it was a special rally or speaking engagement but if this is a normal church service I think that says something as well.

I guess this is what one would call topical preaching.

Good question/point Qayaq. Such "churches" really make it hard for all the many that are simply trying to be faithful to preach the Word.

It's sad to hear that drivel in one of Christ's pulpits. But, I sometimes wonder about anger. It often reveals the heart in powerful ways. Here, we have an example of a man who is angry because someone attacked a friend? An ideology? An ism? An idol of his heart? But I'd like to also ask: what does the collective anger of the GOP and most of the evangelical world reveal in the Wright controversy? Why were we so upset about what he said? Because someone attacked what exactly? The idol of our heart? Sure, Rev. Wright ascribes to some "kooky" (in our opinion without investigating the claims) ideas regarding conspiracies about blacks. But, let's be honest, it isn't that. I suspect he's really being attacked becuase he doesn't worship the American government like most of us do. Our idol is being attacked and we don't like it much at all do we? Hey, Jesus is king. Who cares what these guys say? The American state is NOTHING in comparison to Christ's kingdom. We are like so many flies feeding on road kill, aren't we?
