It's amaziing the different places from which you can see the steeple. It is quite visible at 175th and Switzer and you can look straight down Eby to the south from 151st.

Pastor, I would love to hear some stories of the planning and prayerful thoughts that the Session petitioned before the Lord, before construction began and the Corner Stone was laid.

When I see Redeemer Presbyterian Church Steeple, I know how awesome the sight of the steeple is because I remember when Redeemer had two services every Sunday morning at 8:30 am and again at 11 am in what I referred to it then as “The Warehouse of Grace” (circa 2000.) Many of you Charter Members remember when you met in a tent. Even more impressive is how AWESOME is our God that He has Chosen His Elect and has Redeemed His people. On July 13, 2008, we sang this hymn “How Sweet and Awful [or, Awesome] Is the Place,” which is the “Official Hymn” of the OPC. Since then we have used the closing stanza as our Hymn of Dismissal.

“We long to see thy churches full,
That all the chosen race
May, with one voice and heart and soul,
Sing thy redeeming grace.”

Revelation 7:9-10

A Great Multitude from Every Nation

9 After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, 10 and crying out with a loud voice, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!”

I Know That My Redeemer Lives

I know that my Redeemer lives,
And ever prays for me;
A token of his love he gives,
A pledge of liberty.

I find him lifting up my head;
He brings salvation near;
His presence makes me free indeed
And he will soon appear.

He wills that I should holy be:
Who can withstand his will?
The counsel of his grace in me
He surely shall fulfill.

Jesus, I hang upon thy Word:
I steadfastly believe
Thou wilt return and claim me, Lord,
And to thyself receive.

Job 19: 25 For I know that my Redeemer lives, and at the last he will stand upon the earth.

May God speak to us with His Holy Word, and may His name be forever praised. Amen!
