It's not all gloom and doom

Despite being sick of the oppressive onslaught of political debate and focus, I am looking forward to several key events in the next days and weeks:

1. Metallica concert with my buddy Jon Lindstrom on Saturday night. Very cool.

2. 15th Wedding Anniversary trip to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico with my bride next week.

3. Dr. Calhoun's visit to Redeemer next weekend (he was my Church History prof at Covenant)

4. The ordination and installation of Redeemer's new deacons and elders on November 9.

5. Westminster Eagles soccer playoffs (the team I coach) the first week of November.

6. The Buffalo Bills continuing to win.

7. The Kansas City Wizards playoff run.

8. The Buffalo Sabres continuing to win.

9. Two weeks of hunting vacation in the greatest and best month in the world- November.

10. Advent

Listen, I know you are a rabid Poison fan, but no need for a cheap shot!

Nice! enjoy the concert.

I too am looking forward to November hunting. I have 2 deer in the freezer so far this year and I'm going on another doe management hunt on monday, so I'll be looking for a nice rack to walk my way come November.

I hope you have a great time in Mexico. It's hard to believe that it's been 6 months since my bride and I were in Puerto Rico. Ahhh, the sand, the sun, the blender full of something frozen, and best of all, no kids! Enjoy every moment you have together!!

The new Metallica album is not reminds me of their best, 'And Justice for All.'

We all need some good news, but Metallica just doesn’t do it for me? I am just getting far too old! I lost interest in rock music when the Beetles came out with “Revolution” in 1969.
