Easter Meditation

"He is not here, for he has risen, as he said. Come, see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples that he has risen from the dead."

- Matthew 28:6-7

He is Risen! He is risen indeed!

Glory be to Thee, O Father Almighty, who
as on this day didst raise up Thy Son from
the dead and makest us partakers of His victory
over sin and death.

Glory be to Thee, O Christ, who for us men
and for our salvation hast overcome death, and
opened unto us the gate of everlasting life.

Glory be to Thee, O Holy Spirit, who dost leas
us into all truth as it is in the risen Christ.

Blessed be Thou, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit,
one God, who bringest life and immortality to
light through Thy Gospel, and blessed be Thy
glorious name for ever and ever. Amen.

The Book of Common Worship p. 304

Christ has died,
Christ has risen,
Christ will come again!

The “Glad” version was good, but nothing tops the harmonious sounds of Annie (Ward) Herring, Nelly and Matthew Ward, “2nd Chapter of Acts!”
Pastor Tony, I have kept track of them all, I know we were there, but guess I missed the title of your Easter 2007 Sermon? Like the rest, I bet is was built around the victory of Matthew 27:62 and 28:6-10?
Our first Redeemer Easter, 3/27/05 “The Greatest Statement Ever Proclaimed in the Bible”
4/16/06 “The 7 John’s and the After Affects of His Resurrection.”
Easter 2007? Fill in the blank
3/23/08 “2 Greatest Burdens in Life”
4/12/09 “Why Does the Resurrection Matter?”
