Jesse Lee Peterson on Michael Jackson's death

I don't know much about Jesse Lee Peterson, but check out what he said recently-

In the days following Michael's death, his father, Joe Jackson, held a press conference with none other than Al "The Riot King" Sharpton. Sharpton took center stage and babbled about the need to protect Jackson's legacy and focus on the "positive." This race hustler was up to his old tricks of using code language to tell blacks that, after all, Michael Jackson was black, and we can't let white folks question his character or bizarre behavior.Sharpton then took to the podium at the Staples Center during Michael Jackson's memorial and proclaimed in a phony loud preachy tone, "Michael taught the world how to love." He said to the Jackson children, "There wasn't nothin' strange about your daddy, it was strange what your daddy had to deal with" (i.e. racism).
We've seen this before with O.J. Simpson. Every time a black man is exposed or publicly rebuked, so-called black leaders begin to stoke the flames of racial animosity. In this case, celebrities like Jamie Foxx played the race card. Foxx said of Michael Jackson during a recent appearance at the BET Awards, "We want to celebrate this black man – he belongs to us – and we shared him."What if when Elvis Presley died, a white person got on TV and said, "This white man – he belongs to us." See how ridiculous that sounds?
It's 2009 and most, not all, black people have become the real racists. Over the past 50 years or so, whites have confronted and come to terms with whatever issues they had regarding race, and they have largely overcome those issues. Many blacks, on the other hand, have nursed their anger over real or perceived injustices of the past and seriously hate white people. It's unfortunate that the Jackson family has allowed race to be an issue by selecting a race hustler like Sharpton to become their spokesman.Sharpton is a one-trick pony. He's not concerned about the Jackson family or about giving the tormented soul of Michael Jackson a respectable memorial. He's after money and self-promotion. This desolate and empty shell of a man who has made a fortune blaming "whitey" has nothing to offer but racially divisive words. Blacks mocked Jackson for disfiguring his face with plastic surgery. Now, Sharpton, Sheila Jackson Lee, Jamie Foxx and others want America to respect and recognize this "black" man? Give me a break!Sharpton is already calling on the U..S. government to commemorate Jackson with a U.S. postage stamp. This is sick and godless! There are plenty of real heroes more deserving who've sacrificed for this great nation. We have soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan bleeding and dying, their remains returning home with no fanfare or recognition.
Too many black people are morally bankrupt and lack God in their lives, so they're treating the deceased Jackson as the third coming of the Messiah. (Barack Obama being the second!)Michael Jackson was many things – "hero" wasn't one of them. I'd never buy his stamp!

Christian is not even one of them. I guess in the rush to get airtime The Reverend ( I use that term loosely) Al Sharpton negated to mention that Jermaine Jackson a convert to Islam witnessed to Michael and gave Michael books on Islam so that he could find peace. Reportedly back in November 2008, Michael in private ceremony converted to Islam. Hence why the house he was renting at the time of his death belongs to the Nation of Islam.
“Beleaguered pop star Michael Jackson has converted to Islam and changed his name to Mikaeel, it has been claimed today.
The 50-year-old singer, who has previously been photographed wearing a traditional Arab women's veil, reportedly became a Muslim in a ceremony at a friend's house in Los Angeles, London's Daily Mail reports.
The singer, who was raised as a Jehovah's Witness, is said to have sat on the floor and worn a small hat while an imam officiated at the home of Steve Porcaro, who composed music on his Thriller album.
He is said to have been encouraged by Canadian songwriter David Wharnsby and Phillip Bubal, a producer, who both approached him after he appeared 'a bit down'.
A source told The Sun: 'They began talking to him about their beliefs, and how they thought they had become better people after they converted. Michael soon began warming to the idea.
'An imam was summoned from the mosque and Michael went through the shahada, which is the Muslim declaration of belief.' “

Brother Greg Jones sent me this same very interesting take yesterday, and have to admit, if you are a true Christian, regardless of race, it’s difficult to remain objective. But this is indeed a case where spirit-directed convictions should be tempered by carefully thought out words. And have to admit, how could any objective true Christian, look at this losers terribly distraught life and say “he had it all together!” Amazed at Stevie Wonder’s comment, “He loved God so much, but God loved him more so God took him home!” Home? I don’t don’t want to be stereotyped as intolerant, or bigoted, but his home ain’t where God’s Home is.
Rick, those were some very interesting observations that I have certainly not heard before. Of course the only place one would hear this is from the FOX. I knew he was raised as a strict “Jehovah Witness” but didn’t know the new stuff.

Brother Rick, Thanks for suggesting. I did go to Dr. Milton’s blog page, “Michael Jackson, Fallen Heroes, and Our Days of Trouble” and I read his every right-on, heart-wrenching word. The beginning said it all, “But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God [my emphasis]” (2 Timothy 3.1-4 ESV).
And the ending spoke just as loud, “May God save us from such confusion, from such misuse, and such consequential sorrow. May God send revival, a great movement of His own hand, and heal our land, and heal our souls, delivering us from a love of self-pleasure that is killing ourselves and those we crown kings of our entertainment lust.
