Silent Jawas Cry Out

My friend Zach posted this over on his blog. Of course he tries to make it look like a group of Roman Catholic monks singing the Protestant classic from Handel. In fact, anyone can tell this is clearly a group of Jawas (see here) singing the Hallelujah Chorus despite the misleading Youtube label.

Jawas . . . that's pretty funny. I had forgotten about those guys. I don't see any glowing eyes, though. :)

Maybe I am just getting too old or too narrow minded? I see no reason for humor or jocularity in the background! I viewed this as a beautiful and creative endeavor for those of us who are not gifted in song, to bring glory to the Lord, through this masterful music and anointed Words from Scripture! When it comes to “King of Kings, and Lord of Lord’s, FOREVER AND EVER, No humor for me!

Hey, Woody. I see what you mean, but I don't think anyone was laughing at the message. It was more a case of the amusement inherent in seeing folks try to "sing" one of the all-time great choral works . . . without actually singing.
