Benny Hinn unleashes...

I'm not sure how to categorize this clip.

Below is a clip with Bennie Hinn rebuking Joel Osteen! He even threatens to punch Osteen for waffling when Larry King asked him if Jesus was the only way. Hinn then goes on to lay waste to "seeker sensitive" churches who are, according to Hinn, concerned more about people in their pews than in heaven. Of course, Hinn isn't concerned with attracting huge crowds right?

Having just preached about God still using preaching that comes from bad motives, I won't say more, this clip is just weird.

Hmmm... Entertaining, I guess. Well, I like Joel Osteen; he serves a purpose. And I think he will be the first to say that he is no theologian. His may be a church of "health and wealth" or whatever they call these mega-churches focused on a great speaker but his message is one of a loving God (which I think people need to hear over and over) and a message of personal responsibility. So while I could not see me belonging to a church like Lakewood in Houston, nonetheless I believe that Joel Osteen fills a need in people's souls and what Hinn fills I suspect is his self-righteous ego.

I know I'll get in trouble for saying this...but Hinn rebuking Osteen for theological error is a bit like Tiger Woods giving Bill Clinton a lecture on fidelity.

I think the end times may be at hand, because I actually found myself agreeing with Hinn. wow. Maybe he could heal Osteen by smacking him on the forehead like he does with other people.

I think this is akin to how I would feel if Kenny G and Michael Bolton got into a fight.

But, the burning question is, Tony, does your organist punctuate your sermons with those big fat organ chords when you make a good point???

God help me, I love your blog!! And your commenters. It starts my day with laughs, needed these days as my other blogs, etc., are focused on politics. But I warn you, those animal posts are troubling ... I may have to report you to PETA! (kidding, just kidding)

Wow, never thought I could actually spend 10 minutes listening to Benny Hinn. And have to admit, he did speak truth. Don’t think there was a lot of love there, but one out of two from Ephesians 4:15 is half good! Anyway, you are right pastor, after carefully exhorting Philippians 1:18 last Lords’ Day, about all we should say, no matter the motive, Jesus was lifted up and glorified. Just goes to prove, God honors His Word and not necessarily the man bringing the word, even Hinn can bring truth to light.

Wow. I never thought I would agree with anything that the Benn man would say. It did remind me of one of your Easter sermons several years ago about how other religions worship men who are dead. Of course there were no blue Nehru suits and organ puntuations.
