Nico on the benefit of Houghian Preaching

I had the rare opportunity to worship with my family this morning at Redeemer's early service. I'll miss worship leadership and preaching, but I'll also very much enjoy the experience of singing with my wife and children, reading the liturgy together, hearing the Word preached as a family, and partaking of communion side by side with my sons.

The quote of the morning came from my son Nico-

"Church was more fun because Pastor Brian preaches short..."

I noticed that, too!

Out of the mouth of babes, if it's true...I'm trying to write this and listen to, "Unshackled," through another "Window." The woman on the program was a premee, and she almost died three times. She grew up in the "Great Depression." So far, it's not even the first 10 minutes of the program.

Was it so short that it was not even recorded?

Loyal to the Old Regime! 11 weeks to go!

That’s a rich comment Nico! Brother Titus, good for you, I have enjoyed “Unshackled” for over 38 years. What’s so cool about the program is Pacific Garden Mission has never changed their format or the theme, all moving stories of Changed Life in Christ!

See? There's something to be said for shorty, pithy sermons. :)
