I hope my son has as much fun at summer camp as I did...

You know I'm getting old when my kids are old enough to go to summer church camp. My oldest man child, AJ, left for camp this morning.

The nostalgia of it all is sweeping over me...what great times I had at summer camp as an adolescent.

I hope A.J. has as much fun as I did...like the time pictured below when my friends and I tackled one of the pastors, who was our cabin counselor, and shaved his mustache off (I'm doing the shaving)! His own children didn't recognize him! Apparently the other counselors took a vote about sending me home after this little incident...

Ah yes...I hope AJ is having great fun at camp this week!!!

I bet that post really was an encouragement to Brian. Way to go Tony, and just when we thought you were a saint. The pic looked to me like some kind of fraternity hazing… pouring some kind of canned libation down this poor person.

OOH, this is a great idea for when you grow another chin beard. I will enlist Chris Barnes to do the tackling.

There are many more traumatizing..I mean good clean fun things you can do to camp counselors! Have AJ call me!

Were you a Christian then? I'm always dumbfounded when Christians revel in and gloat over their questionable B.C. exploits. But, I'm not saying that if you were a Christian, then, that it's ok. On the contrary, I don't think "fun" like that adds anything worthwhile to a Christian's testimony.

Perry, relax. Was I a Christian? I don't remember not trusting Christ, quite frankly. I was a teenager who lacked discipline. Thankfully the guy whose mustache I shaved was much beloved and patient with me- like the other counselors. I was reprimanded, etc. Don't over analyze.
