Wizards top Manchester United in historic friendly

So here I am in Colorado while my KC Wizards take on Manchester United at Arrowhead. Dang.

I knew I would be here months ago when I got my tickets for the big game (all season ticket holders got tickets to this HUGE event), so being the nice (humble) guy I am, I gave my tickets to Brian and Zach (RPC college 'kid' going to Moody).

While the game had no bearing on any league play, make no mistake, it was huge for KC to have 53,000 fans come to a game against the biggest English soccer club on earth. Then, to top it off, KC won. See the highlights below:

This game was worth the price of your season tickets. Conrad got a red card about 20 feet in front of us.

We learned all sorts of new chants sitting next to the Cauldron which I hope to get out of my head soon.

Next time plan your sabbatical around the best soccer team on the planet coming to town only to get beat by wizards.

To be fair it was a scrimmage for the Man United B team while the Wizards thought the European title was up for grabs. Very impressed with Wizards though. If only Vermes could get them to play as though it mattered against MLS teams.

Obviously this wasn't Man. U's first team, although several starters did play.

Keep in mind also the Wizards starters only play one half. They too played lots of their second team guys.

Man U's B team should handle most MLS teams, especially with 10 guys to play against.
