It's that time of the year again...

The Yankees have clinched yet another playoff berth. It’s their 15th in the last 16 seasons.

"It's that time of year again when all these Americans who deep down are Socialists start lecturing us about how the Yankees should have to fund every other team (even more than they do already) and how all baseball teams should have the same payroll to ...even the playing field. Of course, few of these people are excited to re-distribute their personal money to even the playing field in the game we call life."

But the one who did not know, and did what deserved a beating, will receive a light beating. Everyone to whom much was given, of him much will be required, and from him to whom they entrusted much, they will demand the more. - Luke 12:48

Never thought Scripture beyond “In the big inning” from Genesis would apply to baseball but come to think of George Steinbrenner and his family have given much to the city of New York and the Yankee players and mangers and fans over the last 38 years, therefore it is only fitting that players and manager Joe Girardi give back the Yankee Organization and it’s fans for the twenty eighth time another World Series Championship!

I would love to see the Yankee’s play the Chiefs. That would be a great game.

I don't see anything "socialist" about adjusting professional sports to prevent buying the big win. Of course, I don't see any way to really make such and adjustment that works. Whatever it might be, someone would find a way to take unfair advantage.

Perhaps another level in the league structure? Sterling League, or some such nonsense.

It's beyond me.

It beats being distracted by the Buffalo Bills.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think W.W. meant the KC Royals. Something tells me the other will never happen.
