I know the Lord was lifted up and glorified last evening at Redeemer! Sorry I couldn’t take part. I thought about not going to Lansing last night, but I know the men are starving and having the blessed opportunity to sit under Bob Reymond’s incredible teaching on Romans 7:1-25 was certainly a worthy sacrifice.
Bob could rock on Romans, no doubt.
One of the things that is so awe inspiring about Bob's teachings are the profound questions he is able to articulate. Just one of the many questions Bob proposed to the men last night, "Do we sin because we are in bondage to sin? Or do we sin because we under the bondage of the Law?"Amazing, most of the men had a better answers than I could have ever given, of course being where they are, they had a better grip of reality and certainly a clearer understanding of what living in bondage to law is all about. Things really go quiet and the answers got deep when Bob’s questions proposed a personal challenge for the men to speak about “man’s free will to choose God” verses God’s “predestined adoption of His son’s before the foundation of the world.” One of the faithful attendees ask for some books and further information on this new term “predestination.”
