Treasuring God's Word- MUST WATCH

We had the privilege of hearing about the work of Mission Aviation Fellowship in Papua last night at church. Matt and Alyssa Harris shared this exciting, yet very convicting video. It's a must watch.

It's about a tribe in Papua receiving God's Word in their own language.

We take things so for granted.

It's a good thing I wasn't there! I would have been blubbering like a baby. Cheri told me how wonderful it was and the fact that we were so blessed to have them share their story at our HFG. Wow, as I watched this amazing testimony, the tears flowed.
This is His Mission at His best! Might say, “The Upmost for His Highest!” We have such a limited view of what Christ commanded in Matthew 28:18-20, but seeing the story of such faith and how precious God's Word is to those who have prayed for such a gift, this new vision of Mission has broadened my horizon of depth of His mission in all new ways. God is an amazing God, going into the reaches and remote areas, saving His chosen in miraculous ways. And for us to know Matt and Alyssa, that we have the opportunity to pray for them, and their work with Mission Aviation Fellowship, what a rich blessing.
All praise and glory goes to Him and to those who have dedicated their lives into translating God's Word and to those who take God's Word to those whom He has called!
Romans 10:14-18 "How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? 15 And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!” 16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed what he has heard from us?” 17 So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.
18 But I ask, have they not heard? Indeed they have, for their voice has gone out to ALL the earth, and their Words to the ends of the world!"

I think that might have been a glimpse of what heaven may be like. Who are we that God should ever care about any of us?

To see people whose identity is totally in Christ highlights the beauty of His name and shines glory on His creation. Staggering.
