Surprisingly astute, and absolutely funny. Especially for me, having adopted several of those titles and ways of thinking in my journey from unchurched heathen humanist to whatever it might be called that I have become. Since I have been purchased (by the blood of the Lamb) perhaps the labels can be removed.
Reading Brother Lockridge’s astute comments reminded me of a powerful message I received yesterday from one of our brothers that our team goes to visit on Sunday night in prison. Here is J.C. thoughts about the power of overcoming, because of His Precious blood: “But one thing all this does do (I've been seeing I.C.E. every few year for the last ten or so and it’s always a constant hassle) is give me a greater appreciation of what Christ did on the cross to adopt me into God's chosen. There is no miscommunication between departments there is no cost that I have to pay for Christ paid it all when he died for me and my sins. The interesting thing is that sin is the breaking of God's law and none are worthy to be called his children and the U.S if you have broken the law they call you undesirable and won't let you become a citizen. Citizenship in God's family is a free gift to all who come and ask Him but if you want to become a U.S. citizen it will cost you a substantial amount of money. We are so blessed to have a loving Heavenly Father to supply our needs. Your Brother in Christ, J.C.”Good thoughts about who we are in Christ.
