Obama will be tough to beat in November

I sincerely hope President Obama doesn't get re-elected in November.

It's not that I think Romney-Ryan would be much better, although Ryan gives me some hope about influencing Romney. Have I mentioned Ryan is a bow hunter?

Niall Ferguson just wrote a post that lays out some solid reasons another four years of Obama would be bad.

Read his post here-

Why Barack Obama Needs to Go by Niall Ferguson

In his post, Ferguson notes the following-

"Nearly half the population is not represented on a taxable return—almost exactly the same proportion that lives in a household where at least one member receives some type of government benefit. We are becoming the 50–50 nation—half of us paying the taxes, the other half receiving the benefits."

If Ferguson's ratio is correct, it seems to be a distinct advantage for the more pro-government candidate. With half the population in some way on the government take, I can't help thinking many of them will almost automatically vote for Obama.  You can't bet a more "big government" President/candidate than Obama.

It's going to be a close one in November, that much seems sure.
