2012 Bow Buck

After many sits, I finally arrowed a good buck.  He's not a giant, but he's definitely mature.  He easily makes Pope and Young (the bow hunting trophy standard of at least 125 inches of antler).

What makes this buck special is being able to harvest him well in to the rifle season, that's why you see me wearing orange.  Once the boom sticks start cracking, it's hard to get bow close to a mature whitetail.

Days like these are probably when I miss my Dad the most. I would usually drive over to his house and show him my deer. He'd want pictures to send to his buddies...

Too bad you didn't get a video. Congrats for the 10 pointer!
