Nathan's 2015 Buck Kill video

Last year Nathan shot his deer first and then filmed me harvesting mine.

This year I shot mine first, so I got to film Nathan's great hunt.

He harvested a gnarly old buck on this hunt.  Great memories!

I already know you won't put this on the blog, but you will see it. I thought about attending your church, so I decided to look at your blog. I will not be visiting. A man who claims to be a minister for Jesus taking pleasure in destroying God's creation in a cruel way is disgusting. Killing is not something to take joy in. So sad.

You should get Nathan’s video kill and your video kill to some of the hunting shows on cable. Incredible hunt and even better to watch it all play out. I have sent this to several of my customers and suppliers. Everyone in the Lumber Biz take deer hunting very serious! In fact, most of the yellow pine mills shut down during Arkansas deer season.

Dear anonymous, sorry you feel this way. Hopefully you'll read my response.
I believe Scripture allows for the eating of meat for food. How we harvest an animal in order to eat the meat should be thought of carefully and scripturally considered. Did you watch the video? The deer lived about 60 seconds after it was shot. It ran the whole time before it died. This is hardly a cruel way to harvest an animal- an animal that lived the whole of its 3-4 years wild and free, without a care in the world. Furthermore, it is not "destroying creation" in any way, shape, or form. Do you think a pack of coyotes cornering and devouring a deer- usually letting it live so the blood keeps pumping- while it eats out the insides of the victim is "destroying creation"? I assume you are a vegetarian...to be consistent, of course. Well, do you have a cat? A dog? What do you feed them? Both cat food and dog food require the slaughter of animals to produce. Is this destroying creation?

Indeed, animals are the creation of God. Man is the crown of God's creation. God gave man the liberty to consume animals. That's what I do. I choose to hunt for my meat. No apologies.
