Here is my net flex review: “What If?”

"A movie that looks at the future, posing a question of destiny: “what if” and what would my life look like if I had made better choices?” Well done story for the entire family with excellent acting to boot. This wasn’t produced or directed by the Sherwood Baptist folks but they would be proud to call “What if” part of the outstanding library of Christ-centered films.
Struggling with an unquenchable appetite for fame and his ravenous greed for fortune, called years ago to serve the Lord, but now Harvard Business Grad, Ben Walker (Kevin Sorbo) has turned his back on the Lord, leaving his college sweetheart, Wendy (Kristy Swanson), for the “finer things of the World!” But Lord isn’t done with greedy Ben, some hard lessons of what’s really important are just before him. After a few years of acquiring more toys and finding less joy, Ben is trying out his brand new $250,000 Benz, and suddenly it breaks down next to the welcomed sign in his old hometown. Divine providence has intervened and the Lord’s discipline brings him face to face with the unlikely angel/tow-truck driver Mike (John Ratzenberger). As grease monkey Mike begins his angelic calling, (similar to “Angel 2nd Class Clarence, trying to earn his wings, in ‘It’s A Wonderful Life’!”) the Lord sets in motion a picture of where Ben's life might have gone/could have gone. In Ben’s second shot of redemption, he awakens to find his old girlfriend Wendy and two children getting ready for church. “Church! Ben hasn’t darkened the doors of a church in years. So not so gentle Ben tells Wendy this is all a dream, for he has no kids, and no wife! Wife and kids think he has lost it, and he also fails to convince ole Mike! What’s more, he not about to discard his fancy Benz to forge his new way in a Mini-van? With no money but plenty of new challenges before him, reluctant Preacher Ben refuses to accept that God has ordained other plans for him. As the clever plot playfully unfolds, Mike’s continues his annoying role as “shepherd” leading hard headed Ben to consider “what if … ?”

Scary stuff.
